Session Details

Here's how everything works from now until your products are in your hands. Add your session date to see when each step happens.

01

Session details

Your session will start a few hours before sunset. Depending on the month, it will be anywhere from 3:00 to 5:00.

If we are incorporating sports, we will end with that!

02

One month before

We will start looking for fields, rinks, etc. if we are doing sports.

We will need to make sure you have your FULL uniform if you are looking for action shots!

03

Two weeks before

You will receive an email with your Senior Style Survey/Questionnaire. Once it's completed, we will go over your wardrobe over text, including what you should be wearing as well as location suggestions.

04

Session day

It's HERE! Your session will start at the first location we discussed. Come ready with your uniform if you are doing sports images.

Make sure all of your outfits are pressed!

05

Two weeks after

Your Image Reveal & Ordering Session is where you'll see all your edited images on the big screen. We go over the products we offer, choose your collection and design it together!

06

Product pick-up

About 2 weeks after we place your order, your products should arrive at my studio all set for you to pick up!

Sometimes we do a quick BTS video of you opening your products to share on social media!

Wardrobe & Locations

Follow these steps for your outfits.

  1. 01

    Find your vibe

The first step is to think about the TYPE of location you want for your photos. Go through my Instagram and start looking at what you like. Is it fields? Water locations? Urban environments like the bridges or rooftops of Boston? What are the general vibes you're going for in your senior portraits?

  2. 02

Match your looks to the location

Now that you know the general vibe you want, look through the What to Wear Guide above to get an idea of what types of looks will work well for that type of location. You may want to consider adding sports, trucks, guitar or any other activity you enjoy.

Don't have a location in mind? Don't worry about it at all — I'll take care of that for you!

  3. 03

    Pick out 5–6 outfits

If you want a variety of locations like urban and natural, I recommend having at least 2–3 for each of these looks. When putting these together, follow the recommendations in the What to Wear Guide and on this page so it's not all the same style and color, and you have a variety to choose from.

  4. 04

Fill out your Senior Style Questionnaire

A couple weeks before your session, I will send an email with a link to your Senior Style Questionnaire at the bottom. Fill that out with as much detail as possible. If you don't put much info, I'll take that as a sign that you trust me :) This will have questions specifically about locations, which brings us to…

  5. 05

    Text me your outfits

Once your Senior Style Questionnaire is filled out, please TEXT me photos of your outfits. From there, I'll take your outfits and pair them with the perfect locations. You don't have to do any location work — that's my job for you :)

Your Image Reveal & Ordering Session
What happens after your photoshoot

Image Reveal

Approximately two weeks after your session we will have your Image Premiere & Ordering Session! This is when you get to see your images for the very first time.

During this time, we'll sit together to LIVE DESIGN all of your products. I will help you design exactly how your albums, image boxes, storyboards and wall art collections will look, so you know how everything looks before it's sent off to my professional print labs!

Since this is the one time we are together to order your products, it's crucial that everyone who wants a say in the decision is there to help. This is when we'll place your order and pick which products work best for your family. Payment is also due this day. If you need a refresher on pricing, you can view it in the Senior Magazine you received before booking here.

Once we've finished your Image Premiere, I'll finish designing all of your archive-quality products, make sure everything looks perfect and send them to the lab. When they come back, I'll check one more time to make sure everything is flawless, package them up in the signature KZP wrapping and email you to let you know they're ready to be picked up!

Wall Art

At KZP, we believe your images shouldn't just sit on a USB drive collecting dust. You should be displaying them for everyone you love to see. Portraits document who you are as a person, and that's why we offer custom wall art options for every client!

When you choose a wall art collection, we will design each piece to make sure it's optimized for your space and that everything looks great together, using live design software so you can see your space come to life.

If you think you'll be choosing a canvas or wall art collection, please have the spaces where you'd like to hang them measured so we can design the collection to fit perfectly in your home.

Frequently asked Questions

Can I incorporate sports into my session?

Yes! Absolutely. If you want action shots in full uniform, it's best to make sure we have the field free for photos.

What happens if it rains?

While summer sessions are rarely rained out, if the weather is looking bad, I will let you know that we're rescheduling to a better, sunnier day!

Can I bring a friend?

Yes! And it's encouraged!! It's always more fun when you're with your best friend, and then we can grab some best friend photos.

How many outfits should I bring?

Please bring as many outfits as you think you might even possibly want to use during your session! It's better to have too many than too few. We usually get through about 5–6 outfits, but sometimes more!
